Mohanlal signs up with UTV

Mohanlal has signed up with one of India’s leading production houses UTV Motion Pictures to do a film in Malayalam.

The film is written and directed by B Unnikrishnan, who has done the super hit Madambi with the superstar.
Mohanlal has signed the UTV film at a new record price and has given priority dates. The film will start rolling by end of November in Kochi, after the star completes Casanova.
The Mohanlal film is said to be a crime thriller with the star playing a cop.

Unnikrishnan’s script seems to have been liked by the producers and Mohanlal. There are rumours that there are three heroines in the film. The other details are being worked out.
