ADAMINTE MAKAN ABU selected for OSCAR

National award winning film Adaminte Makan Abu nominated for Oscar award. The jury for the feature film category at the 58th National Film Awards has recommended that movie that wins the top award should be India's official entry at the Oscars every year. Adaminte Makan Abu selected from 15 Indian movies including Urumi.
Film directed by Salim Ahammad starring Salim Kumar. Malayalam feature film 'Adaminte Makan Abu', which has won the best feature film award, should be India's official entry to the Oscar this year," Bhupendra Kainthola, director (Indian Panorama & National Film Awards), told IANS.

  1. All those who have seen the movie does appreciate the strength of the character portrayed in it. Infact every Indian lives with a dream big or small as shown in the movie. Whether the oscar committee accept/reject this movie makes no impact on the indian viewers but if the movie makers give up on making such meaningful ones due to lack of a wide scale appreciation thats when we the viewers> really lose. I wish the director and the entire team behind this movie a great success and hope to see more movies that can relate to a common man's problem.
